Construction of a line of Light rail transit

About the project

Construction of a line of Light rail transit of the Almaty region.

• Construction of a high-speed Light rail transit - to Kapchagai, Kaskelen, Talgar, Issyk cities;
• Construction of a depot and traction substations;
• Improvement of roads along the LRT corridor;
• Power supply of the LRT line;
• Reorganization of engineering networks and communications falling into the LRT construction zone.

The length of the LRT line is 121 km, including:
Stage 1 – 58 km;
Stage 3 – 14 km;
Stage 5 – 27 km;
Stage 7 – 22 km.
